Safe Haven of Iowa County

Sky is one unique dog, that comes with a great story too!  She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Missouri just days before she was set to be euthanized.  Luckily she must have a guardian angel looking out for her becuase a volunteer with another dog rescue group contacted Safe Haven to say that she had met Sky and couldn't believe this great dog would not get a chance to have a forever home, so Safe Haven was asked to please rescue Sky.  And as luck would have it, we had an open kennel that soon had her name on it - reserved just for her!  

So a transport team was set up and Sky made her way to Iowa and straight into our hearts.  She is super sweet, a little shy, but coming around quickly now that she knows she is safe!  Sky is a big girl, weighing in at 80 pounds, and she makes everyone smile when they meet her because the front half of her body is all Lab.....and the back half of her is totally Rottweiler!  We just know great things are on the horizon for this lucky dog!
