If you are looking for a well travelled young lady with a heartworming story, Brie might be the dog for you!  Brie was found left outside a shelter near Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  This sweet dog had a serious injury to her rear leg - in fact most of the leg was missing, and the bone was left exposed.  The vet was not sure what had happened, but knew she needed surgery to clean up the wound.

So Brie did have the rest of the leg amputated, and has recovered just fine.  In fact, she is a very sweet dog who loves people, little people, dogs, and being loved.  She has played well with the neighborhood children in the past.  She is actually very athletic and really moves right along on three legs!   

Brie was adopted by a man in Iowa City that was visisting familly out West and fell in love with her, but unfortunately now that Brie is here in Iowa, he has found out that Brie does not like his cat.  So Safe Haven was contacted to try and help Brie find a new home, one without cats.  Brie really does have a long life of love and dedication to offer a new family, and we are determined to help her find a happy ending after a rough start to her life!
