Safe Haven of Iowa County

Nixie came to us as a stray along with her 'boyfriend' Otis.   We held them for longer than usual before listing because we were so sure that a family would be calling us soon to say that they were looking for them.   However, it is time to let them go to a family to get the love they deserve and earn.   They are brought up to date on vaccinations, heartworm test is negative and they have been microchipped.    These two little cuties are ready to go to a new home to give lots of love to some lucky family.
 
We had been indicating that we wanted these two doxies to be adopted together.   However, upon getting to know them better we have learned that Nixie  shows a different side we do not see when Otis is with her.  Otis seems to want to play a little harder than Nixie - she is a bit more laid back - and we think she is just a sweet little princess - just look at her picture with her in her pink tiara!  She also seems to LOVE small children and will go up to preschooler aged children to be petted and role over on her back for a belly rub!  Nixie is just a sweet cuddle bug, and we are hoping there is a family looking for a great little dog like Nixie to love!
