Buddy was brought to Safe Haven by his owner who could no longer keep him due to a landlord/lease issue and he just coudln't find a new "dog-friendly" place to live fast enough. He had found him at the beginning of winter and kept him safe and from starving through the winter. He was very sad to have to let Buddy go becuase he had been such an awesome dog, but he knows that Safe Haven is the best place to find a new perfect home for Buddy. His previous owner reports that Buddy has been around school aged kids as well as cats, and does just fine. He is also housebroken, anxious to get in the car, and seems to know that transport kennels are for him to ride in. Even though Buddy was found as a stray, and at the time he was very skinny, his first vet visit with us confirmed he seems to be a very healthy young dog. He certainly is looking better now, and is just a great all around dog. We know he will make some lucky family very happy since he is extremely motivated to get a pet or two from anyone who looks his way.
