Safe Haven of Iowa County

Alright, if you are looking for a fun loving companion, look no further than Jerry!  He is loving life and loving all the attention he is getting after making it to Safe Haven. Jerry  has not met a volunteer that he doesn't fully adore!  His little tail "stub" wags back and forth so fast it is just a BLUR!!  He loves to go on walks and really just has that special ability to put a smile on everyone's face!  

Jerry was recently able to spend a few days in a home and the family reported that he was a super little house guest. He had no accidents and went to the door when he wanted to go out. He slept through the night in bed with them. He didn't seem comfortable with being crated, however, it is recommended that his adopters get him accustomed to crating because he did claw at the door trim a bit when left alone in the home. They also discovered he has some pretty good athletic ability and can jump a 3 foot fence! Jerry does well on a leash and seems to do fine with other calm dogs. He did have a best friend, Alice, a black lab who's since been adopted, that he loved to play with. Come meet Jerry and fall in love with this sweet little guy.
