Sparkle came to Safe Haven with 4 other Shih Tzu's from a breeder that is retiring. They contacted Safe Haven and asked for help trying to find good homes for their 5 registered Shih Tzu's, as they were no longer able to provide the amount of care the dogs require. Sparkle just got a "makeover" with a new haircut, and now looks like a totally different dog, as you can see from her before picture. Sparkle loves to explore the outdoors. She bounces around in the grass like a little bunny and has her tail wagging the whole time. Sparkle is a senior female that truly deserves a quiet home where she can get comfortable and enjoy her senior years. Sparkle is a little shy, but very friendly and once she can relax, we think she could be a wonderful companion to someone that wants to give her the good home she deserves. Please note, Sparkle has not been living in a home but rather in a kennel facility in a large pen where she always had outdoor access. In this set-up she does do her business outside, which may help her to be more easily housetrained. We are seeking a foster or adoptive home for Sparkle at this time.
