Someone tried to drown Sara by wrapping a pipe around her and throwing her into the water. Sara was very lucky and was found by some friends of mine who have helped me out at the shelter many times. They brought Sara to me and I took her in and did whatever I could to make her comforable and to feel safe. At first Sara will growl at you but in no time she is your friend. She needs someone who will have the patience to work with her on that. It did not take long for me to finally win her over. Sara is a big love and a bigger couch potato! If you want an easy going dog, Sara is the one for you. She loves to just lay around! She also loves attention and likes to lay with you whenever possible. Sara would be better with a home with no small children. Sara is not housebroken and we are working on that. She does need a lot of training. She is also a runner so you have to keep a leash on her when outside. When Sara was with me for about 2 or 3 weeks she was diagnoised with heartworms and even though she has gone through the treatment and is been given a good bill of health, it is important that Sara stay on Heartguard every single month. She cannot miss her monthly dose! Whoever gets Sara I think will feel the same way I do, very protective and very happy to have her around. She is such a love and gives plenty of kisses and attention to you! You can't help but love her right back! Interested in adopting this pet? Please click the adoption info link for more information.
