Description:
Meet George: A gentle giant ready for a fresh start! George is a big-hearted, handsome boy who is more than ready to trade his past life for a future full of cuddles and love! He came into our care after his previous owner sought out assistance with finding him and his littermates new forever homes. Right now, it's George's time to shine as we begin searching for the loving family he deserves. We don't call George a "gentle giant" for nothing. This sweet, Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard boy is an absolute sweetheart who thrives on attention. George's favorite place to be is right by your side, and he'll often just plop down at your feet, gazing up with adoring eyes, hoping for a scratch behind the ears. If you're looking for a dog that will be your loveable, loyal shadow, George may be your man. George has spent the recent part of his life living outside and, well, he hasn't exactly been shy about enjoying a good roll in the dirt! He's currently in need of a thorough grooming and clean-up, including a much-needed bath. Don't worry—he'll be getting the spa treatment with a good cleanse and a brushing before he heads off to his new home. Because George is transitioning from an outdoor life and a change in his environment, his new family will need to commit to providing a stable, consistent environment to help him succeed. He is actively working on the fundamentals and is looking for a home that can offer patience and persistence. He will need a dedicated routine to continue working on his house training. Accidents are part of the learning process, so a family ready to be patient and persistent with positive reinforcement will be key. A structured daily schedule will also help him quickly master his leash manners and basic obedience. **George has been brought up-to-date on his vaccinations and heartworm bloodwork testing, but is awaiting his neuter surgery. This will take place within the next couple of weeks, so we are estimating him to be ready for adoption around 10/22/25. Ready to open your heart and home to this sweet giant? If you think George is the perfect addition to your family and you are ready to provide the structure and love he needs, we encourage you to apply to meet him! Please complete and submit an adoption application found on our website, www.wesavepets.com.
