Safe Haven of Iowa County

Meet Cassie!!! She is estimated to be the perfect age of 4 years old, and likely a Shepherd mix....but that is clearly just a guess - what we do know is she is a sweet dog that found herself homeless, sitting in the Cedar Rapids animal shelter - looking for a forever family!  Since the shelter was getting full, Cassie was transferred to Safe Haven.  

Cassie absolutely loves her walks, and is an active dog - so a family that is looking for someone to walk or jog with, would be perfect.  She may be a little shy at first in her kennel, and does bark at strangers initially, but warms up quickly. Cassie may be most comfortable in a home with older children only, because she does seem more uneasy/nervous around younger kids and has shown some resource guarding with her toys, etc.  We think she would just thrive in a quieter home, where she can relax and be the great companion that she is longing to be!
