Meet Bella! Bella is the little gal on the left in the profile image. She is a cream/white long haired chihuahua, who is as sweet as can be! Bella was recently surrendered to us as her owner was needing to move and wasn't able to take her along with. In the image with Bella is her canine brother, Bullet. Bullet was also surrendered to our care. These two have always been together & would do best in a home where they can be adopted together as a bonded pair. Bullet is much more shy and timid - the shelter envioronment has been a bit of an adjustment for these two little ones. Lots of new people, smells, sounds, etc. So much to take in!! Bullet is still quite scared of his new surroundings but has started to be seen out and about in his kennel space more often. Safe Haven staff & volunteers have been allowing Bullet the space he needs in order to feel more comfortable. When uncomfortable or scared, Bullet has been known to nip/bit, so patience is key. He is slowly learning that we are 'ok' people too... Neither of these guys have been used to walks so we have been easing them into the great outdoors slowly and safely. Bella has loved going for walks with a harness & exploring outside. Both Bella and Bullet are spayed/neutered, been brought up-to-date on their vaccinations, microchipped, and given flea/tick & heartworm preventatives - they are ready to begin their search for their new forever home.
