Safe Haven of Iowa County

Marty is estimated to be around 10 weeks old - and check out those ears!  He found his way into an overcrowded shelter in Texas, where there was no room for him to stay - so several volunteer pilots decided to join together and fly Marty and a few of his new friends on a network of flights to finally arrive in Iowa!  These dogs are now totally vetted and placed up for adoption - waiting for their forever family to find them.  Marty is a typical Terrier mix puppy - very active/playful and looking for his next adventure!

Marty's forever home will need to be a home that can focus on all the work that a puppy requires - houretraining is easiest to do when a puppy will not be left alone for long stretches of time - it is imperative to get a schedule for frequent trips outdoors.  A general puppy obedience class will also be a great first step towards creating a bond and getting off on the right foot towards having a well behaved puppy that matures into a wonderful family pet!
