Safe Haven of Iowa County

Charlie is a uniquely colored long hair miniature Dachshund.  He was relinquished to us to find a new home when he starting exhibiting signs of stress during a divorce.  

Charlie can be fun, playful and he enjoys walks, car rides and his toys.  He loves to snuggle.   Children are okay as long as they treat him properly.   If they pull his hair or in other ways hurt him he will be snippy. 

He does require a prescription dog food because of the kind of crystal that was found in his urine when he had an infection.   He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered and  recently tested negative for heartworm which is a requirment for admitance to Safe Haven.
