Safe Haven of Iowa County

Rebel is just a 8 month old pup - and he was well cared for during his short life - but his owner moved and couldn't take him along.  He was left with the grandparents, and after several weeks it became clear that Rebel was still just too much puppy for them to continue to care for and train. 

Rebel has not spent much time inside the house - he spent more time in the shop on the farm - but was kenneled in a crate in the garage at night, so housetraining will need to be something his new family is willing to work on him with, but it is a step in the right direction that he is used to being in a crate already. 

Because Rebel has been used to running around free on his farm  - he is used to being with a couple other dogs - so he gets along with dog and cats.  He loves everyone he meets, but has some manners to learn yet about jumping up when excited, etc - so he may be too much for a family with young kids at home right now.  He seems like a smart pup, and will be a quick learner - he is super food motived, so training is much easier with a dog like that!
