Safe Haven of Iowa County

 Frieda is such a delight - with a fun, quirky personality - she has quickly won the heart of several volunteers!  One of her favorite tricks is to sneak UNDER her bed and hide from us....so a number of volunteers were worried when they didn't see her in her kennel!!  She was a stray dog found near Marengo, and much to our surprise, no family came forward to claim her.

Frieda is a fun dog, with a unique appearance.  The vet guessed her to be a Lab mix....we just aren't sure what that mix is!  Many people guess Husky, but her head also looks like she may have a little Pit Terrier mix perhaps? We just aren't sure about all this...but we ARE sure she is a beautiful dog with a personality to match!
