Remembering Our Beloved Pets:

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

- Excerpt from the "Rainbow Bridge" (inspired by a Norse Legend)

Although you are gone, you shall not be forgotten...

Nala
Rest in Peace Sweet Nala - She left us too soon on October 3, 2015.

Sweet Pea
Sweet Pea was the last kitten born to Clementine at Safe Haven, May 2014. She went to the Rainbow Bridge the very next day after she was born. For those of us who knew her for this brief time, we want it to be known that we loved her and grieved her loss. Rest in Peace Little Sweet Pea.

Champion
Champ became our foster cat in July 2011. For the two years he was with us Champ always made us laugh, he was a character. Champ was FIV positive so in July 2013 he passed away. He is resting peacefully at Rainbow Bridge. I still smile when I think about Champ and how lucky we were to have him in our lives.

Herky
Herky was a beautiful guy who came to Safe Haven very leery of strangers, particularly men. He quickly became trustful of the female staff who loved him so and would often give them his special “grin and happy face”, wagging his tail like crazy when he knew he was going for a walk. Herky loved his walks and would be so excited that you really had to hold on and keep up with him :-). If he did get loose while on a walk, he always came back when his name was called with a look like “well, why did you let go of me?”. Herky knew his “sit”, “no” and “stay” and loved to have his ears rubbed. Herky left us too soon, is missed terribly and thought of very often. In my heart I know he is happily playing on Rainbow Bridge with an endless supply of his favorite toys: Kongs and Frisbees :-). You were loved very much, Herky, and will always hold a special place in my heart as well as many others. You are missed every day. ~Carrie

Ferris
Ferris was a sweet older lady when she found her way to Safe Haven. She was a gentle ol' soul who probably had years of hunting under her belt. She was almost deaf and had lost a great deal of her sight, but she could sure sniff out her food dish when it was full! Ferris received much love during her months at Safe Haven and even got to spend her last month in a loving foster home.
