Safe Haven of Iowa County

Jase is a playful, clownish, fellow who the vet guesstimated to be around 5 years old.  Jase just does not realize how an adult dog is supposed to act,  if  he is that old.   He is so playful and active he gives the impression of being a yearling.   That is his attitude even with a positive antigen test for heartworm, which he certainly is not showing clinical symptoms of.  He came to us a bit underweight and remains lean.  We are almost finished with  his heartworm treatment and he has been great through it all---but not really acting like he has the slightest idea that he potentially could have been very ill.   He is just a very happy-go-lucky fellow who appreciates his ears being rubbed.
