Snoopy is a very handsome, sweet-natured Coonhound, which make wonderful dogs for the right kind of owner. Coonhounds are loving, gentle, and very good with children. However, they become bored easily and do not like being left alone. Some become “boredom barkers” when left alone, and Snoopy is no exception. Coonhounds are generally dog-friendly, but don’t mix well with cats because they have a tendency to “hunt” them. To be truly happy, Snoopy will need an owner who has the time to spend with him and keep him occupied. Coonhounds are very people-oriented, like to be doing something for you, and have a high energy level. They are sometimes escape artists and must have at least a six-foot fence. Snoopy is very affectionate and loves being talked to and petted. He craves company and does not like being left alone. He’s working on improving his leash manners and other basic obedience training, but he will require an owner who’s willing to spend the time to train him properly. Properly trained, and given the companionship and attention he craves (and deserves), Snoopy will make a wonderful, loving, and devoted friend for the right kind of person.
