Meet George, a lovable, energetic 2‑year‑old with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life! We believe George is a Blue Heeler/Great Dane mix, which gives him the perfect blend of intelligence, playfulness, and affection.

George enjoys active playtime just as much as he enjoys curling up for cozy couch snuggles. He doesn’t give kisses himself, but he loves receiving them from his humans—and he’ll happily lean in for affection.

This smart boy already knows several commands, including sit, lay down, wait, “okay” (release), paw, touch, and legs. He learns quickly and thrives when his brain is kept busy.

George gets along wonderfully with kids, though he sometimes forgets his size, so he would do best in a home with older or sturdy children. He’s very social with other dogs and loves canine friends, but he cannot live with cats.

George would be happiest with an adopter who can give him plenty of time, activity, and engagement to meet his mental and physical needs. After a fun day, he loves napping with his people—but when bedtime rolls around, he happily claims his favorite spot on the couch for the night.
