Meet Colby, a soulful and sweet giant who is officially searching for his forever home! Colby’s journey with us began when he was found as a stray in Marengo. After waiting patiently to be reclaimed and spending some time getting settled, he is now ready to transition from a "stray" to a beloved family member. While his past is a bit of a mystery, his future looks incredibly bright, and we can’t wait to see him find the person or family he deserves.

Colby is the definition of a "sweet giant," though he does wear his heart on his sleeve during first introductions. He tends to get a little wiggly and excited when meeting new faces for the first time, but don't let that initial burst of energy fool you. Once he gets his "meet and greets" out of the way, he reveals himself to be an exceptionally well-behaved and well-mannered boy. He settles down beautifully and shows off a polite, calm demeanor that makes him a joy to be around.

Because Colby has only been in our care for a short time, we are still learning all the little things that make him special. We haven't had the chance to test his compatibility with other pets just yet, but we plan to conduct dog and cat introductions in the very near future. For now, he is simply waiting for someone to notice his handsome face and big heart.
