Looking for a special furry friend to add to your family? Meet our rescue kitten Bonniebelle! She was found outside all alone in the city of Oxford, during a very cold week in December. The loving family that found Bonniebelle could not keep her, but knew she needed immediate intervention if she was going to survive - so they rushed her to the vet in Tiffin and asked them to help her. The Tiffin vet helped to get her a bit more comfortable and called Safe Haven to see if we could take her into our care - knowing that eventually Bonniebelle would need a special surgery called an "Enucleation" - where her right eye will be removed. 

Despite her ailmemts, Bonniebelle is still playful, happy kitten who's ready to steal your heart! She is initially scared when she meets people, and is generally quick to hiss....but with quiet and patient interactions, she is quick to change her mind, and will eventually offer up her belly for scratches and has the absolute best purr! 

Bonnibelle has been spayed, has age appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, litter box trained, and will likely have her eye surgery near the end of January.

Bonnibelle is currently undergoing a six week course of ringworm treatment, and is also being treated for an upper respiratory infection. When she is healthy enough, her eye will be removed to prevent further pain and infection. We will update the available date as she works her way through recovery and towards her final surgeries. We anticipate she will be ready to go home towards the end of January.
