Safe Haven of Iowa County

Felicia was one of several unhealthy looking neighborhood cats that Safe Haven assisted with a TNR project. The rest of these cats were wild, but Felicia was friendly and social from the start, always happy to eat and begging to be pet. Appearance wise, her little squished face stands out (she is known to have Persian heritage). 

When she was initially taken to IHA for spay, they found her to be too underweight and unhealthy to move forward with her spay at that time. They treated her for her severe flea infestation and subsequent skin and upper respiratory infection, and noted that she also had severe dental disease. 

We took this information back to the owners of the property where the cats lived, and they expressed concern that her medical needs were more than they could keep up with. They asked that Safe Haven find her a new home. 

Thanks to Safe Haven and a few individuals that contributed financially towards her medical needs, Felicia is now well on her way to a happy, healthy new life!
