Description:
Boris is a handsome 5-year-old (best guesstimate) gentleman with a heart of gold. We believe he's likely a Lab/Shepherd(??) blend. Boris was found as a stray alongside his younger canine companion, Winnie, and both were in desperate need of a helping hand. Upon their arrival at the Iowa County pound, they were both quite dirty and covered in fleas. Boris has come a long way since then, receiving much-needed medical care, several soothing baths, and lots of TLC. He is now appears to be in great health, up-to-date on all of his vaccines, has been neutered, and is ready to find his forever family! Boris is a gentle giant with a calm and affectionate demeanor. He's a true companion dog who loves nothing more than to be by your side, whether it's for a leisurely walk, a relaxing afternoon in the backyard, or a cozy evening on the couch. He’s playful when the mood strikes him, enjoying a good game of fetch or a romp in the yard, but he’s equally content to curl up at your feet for a nap. Boris appears that he could get along well with another canine companion - a meet & greet with any other possible dogs in the home would need to take place to ensure appropriate compatibility. He’s a well-mannered, polite boy who will make a wonderful addition to a family. Boris appears to be a loyal and loving dog who is ready to give all his love to a family that will cherish him for the rest of his life - we just can't believe Boris nor his buddy Winnie were ever reclaimed after being found as strays! Boris is ready to begin his search for his forever home - if you're interested in meeting him, please complete an online adoption application found on our website at www.wesavepets.com. Once the application has been submitted, a Safe Haven volunteer will be in touch.
