Meet Farley! This big boy was brought to us as a stray, found near the West Lot at Whirpool. We are so surprised he was never reclaimed - he is one BIG loveable boy.. with lots of the typical young lab-like energy, of course! He came to us fairly thin -only weighing around 70lbs. We are hoping with proper nutrition, he will be putting on some adequate weight soon. Farley has been brought up-to-date on his vaccinations, he was previously neutered, he has been microchipped, and started on monthly flea/tick & Heartworm preventatives.
Farley is in search of his new forever home - a home that is comfortable and probably experienced with large, energetic dogs. Being estimated around two years old, he has lots of energy to offer! Farley would benefit greatly from obedience-like classes where he could work on his manners, basic obedience skills, and continue enhancing his socialization skills. Farley has not been directly introduced to any other dogs nor cats since being in our care, as we continue to get to know him more and more every day. If you are interested in potentially adopting Farley and you have a current dog at home - we would request a meet & greet visit for initial introductions of the dog(s) and Farley before proceeding with any further steps of the adoption process. Initial introductions are very important, so we want to be sure those steps are taken before Farley heads to his new home.
