Mabel came to us as a stray found north of Marengo, not far from Koszta. After never being reclaimed - she has become an adoptable Safe Haven dog! Mabel has been brought up-to-date on her vaccinations, she has been spayed, microchipped, and started on monthly flea/tick & Heartworm preventatives.
Mabel is as sweet as can be! She is a very mellow and soft-spoken gal who seeks out love & affection from her people. She can be somewhat fearful of new noises and things in her environment - cars on the roads, loud noises, etc. With time, patience, and encouragement - Mabel learns to trust and open up fairly quickly. Since she has not been with us long, we have not directly introduced her to other dogs. We have not seen any negative reactions towards other dogs near by, but any future adoption interest should plan to have a meet & greet visit with any other dog(s) in the home before the adoption takes place.
