Meet Nyssa! This sweet gal came to us as a stray with her puppies (Winnie, Elinor, and Yogi). After never being claimed, Nyssa has found herself ready to begin searching for her new forever home! Nyssa hasn't been with us long, so we are still learning about her each and every day. We do know she has loved the snow and loves being outdoors. The colder temps sure have not slowed her down one bit. Nyssa appears to be outgoing and seems to have never met a human stranger. She has settled in relatively quickly with the various staff, volunteers, and routine at Safe Haven. After playing hard - she is always ready to settle in for a nap on her cozy bed. We have not directly introduced her to dogs while at Safe Haven. With this being said, any future adopter(s) would need to set up an introduction visit with any current dog(s) in the home to ensure initial introductions were appropriate. Nyssa has not been directly introduced to cats either - she did seem to be reactive towards a cat while in close proximity. Doing a thorough "cat test" would be sure to take place before potentially going into a home with kitties.
