10/25/23 Update: Aspen (previously Elsie) has been returned due to unforunate events in her home. She has grown to be a bigger gal - more than her family imagined they could handle at this time. She has sure grown up to be a beautiful girl! She is still very much a puppy who has lots of the puppy energy and typical puppy behaviors. She has attended Obedience classes with her previous family - and has great manners and patience for a young girl. The transition of being back in our care has been rough for this sweet girl - she loves having attention all of the time and loves having the company of her people. She really just loves all people! If you're looking for a beautiful young girl that has lots of love to give, Aspen may be your gal! The first step to the adoption process is all done right here by filling out an adoption application - an application can be found on our website at www.wesavepets.com.

Elsie and her three sister littermates came to Safe Haven after another rescue reached out asking for help due to health complications of the caretaker. Our best guess for breed is lab mix (maybe part Pitty? Boxer?) Whatever the mix - they are precious! To begin their puppy training as soon as possible, a spay contract will be signed at the time of adoption. The contract will be signed stating the puppy must be spayed by a given date, either by scheduling an appointment to bring the puppy back to Safe Haven for the spay or by utilizing the adopter's primary vet clinic and sending documentation proof of spay to us at Safe Haven.  All of these puppies are vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and are on track for a long healthy life with their forever families.

Their ideal family will be committed to taking a puppy obedience class right away to get started on the right foot - they will need a family that can commit to continue proper socialization and also all the work that goes into house-training a puppy, which requires a lot of patience and persistence with working on a schedule. Puppies need to be taken outside frequently - as often as every 4 hours in the beginning. So an ideal home for these puppies will be one where they won't have long periods of time during the day spent alone, so they can have the best chance of successful housetraining and have years of wonderful love and devotion to focus on!

If you are interested in adopting Elsie or one of her littermates please fill out an adoption application as the first step of the adoption process. The application can be found on our website, www.wesavepets.com. Once the application has been approved, a volunteer will be in contact to set up a meeting/adoption time.
