Safe Haven of Iowa County

Mort originally came to Safe Haven in the summer of 2022 from Missouri as a kitten with his siblings for greener pastures in Iowa. He is a playful cat who gets along great with other cats, dogs, and kids. Mort was originally adopted in August, 2022 - but unfortunately one of the kids in the home developed allergies and Mort had to come back to Safe Haven in December, 2023. 

Mort's family report that he is an excellent cat - just the perfect balance of super sweet, patient, playful and cuddly.  He likes to play with toys, especially any toy that spins. Mort also loves to eat, so he will benefit from a famly that will keep an eye on his weight and ensure that he stays healthy.  One of Mort's favorite tricks is that he figured out how to flip the light switches on and off in his first home.....so he is clearly one special kitty with hidden talents!
