Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Young : : Medium
Zack is a super sweet young dog who was surrendered with his sister, Ziva, due to chasing cats. We were told they are the coated variety of Xolos (Mexican hairless dog)--if you aren't familiar with this breed, look them up! We aren't positive if they're purebred or mixed--but they sure are unique! Zack is very undersocialized for his age as he wasn't exposed to enough stimuli in his previous home. New things can be scary, but he loves people and seeks attention. He will blossom into a great dog as he builds confidence! Zack was living mostly outdoors and therefore we don't consider him housetrained but he has shown a lot of progress. That will definitely be something he needs to work on in his new home! While here at the shelter, Zack is learning what toys are and loves plushies! He even sometimes carries one on his walk. :-) He walks pretty nicely on a leash.
