UPDATE 5/10/23: Witten aka Grizzly has been returned due to some inappropriate behaviors while his previous owners were providing cares for him. Witten does not like his nail trimmed, feet cleaned or messed with or other personal cares done for him. His previous owners had a stream of water that Witten thoroughly enjoyed but when it was time to come back inside to get cleaned up, Witten did not enjoy that part. His owners said he typically will warn with a growl first - and then will offer to bite. They had a toddler in the home who could do anything with Witten. We are still getting to know him better and work around his triggers while he's under our care. We will update his bio once we get to know him better!
Update: Witten was adopted by a volunteer of ours, but it soon became clear that Witten would enjoy living as the only dog in the household. We thought maybe a playmate with a similar activity level could be compatible with him, but Witten wasn't happy and he asks to be your one and only! No kitties unfortunately, either!
Witten (formerly known as Scooter) was recently returned to us after being adopted as a 3 month old puppy last year. This sweet guy had a very good home but was a bit too overwhelming for his smaller canine sibling.
Since Witten is still young, he needs a bit of work learning not to be so jumpy. He does know sit and is eager to please and learn! Classes would be super fun with him.
If you're interested in Witten, please fill out an adoption application on our website and we will be in touch!
