Queenie is definitely a "silver" diamond in the raw, ready for a savvy lover of Labrador Retrievers to guide her into becoming the wonderful pet she will be! She is young, highly active, loving and anxious for attention. Her former owners purchased Queenie as a young pup this past Spring, from a friend that was intentionally breeding for this striking silver color. Unfortunately, this family quickly realized that they could not spend enough time with Queenie, or give her the attention she deserves. She was spending most of her time alone outside of the house, because she was just too rambunctious to be around the 4 young kids inside. Consequently, they turned her over to us to find a new home for her. Queenie will need work on housetraining as she not really spent much time in a home yet. She has met a few dogs this past summer and loved playing with them, however she does love to chase kitties - so a home without cats may be best for her. While she loves everyone she is a little overwhelming for small children currently; but with work would make a wonderful companion for young family members. Therfore, because of her current age, size, and lack of training to date, we are looking for a family that can commit to taking her to an obedience class and help her learn to be the great companion we know she can be!
