Safe Haven of Iowa County

Heidi came to us with Ellie from a  gentleman who reluctantly decided that he was not giving his dogs enough quality time since his recent job/lifestyle change.   She and her canine 'sister'  were well cared for and current on vaccinations and parasite control when we received them.  Heidi was only a baby when she met Ellie and they get along very well together even though Heidi can show her 'puppy-side' from time to time. 

She is a beautiful well behaved dog who appears to be yellow lab without much of any other breed in her ancestry.   Her earliest life is a bit of a mystery since she showed up as a stray at a very young age in pretty rough shape.   She had been with her previous owner and Ellie, her older sister-of-sorts, the rest of her roughly year of life after having been found as a puppy.
