Safe Haven of Iowa County

Ellie came to us from a gentleman who reluctantly decided that he was not giving his dogs enough quality time since his recent job/lifestyle change.   She and her canine 'sister'  were well cared for and current on vaccinations and parasite control when we received them.   He tells us Ellie is loyal and loving and 'gets along with everyone'.  She seemed a little anxious the first day she was with us but quickly warmed to all of us, and is a favorite of many volunteers.

Her previous owner indicated that Ellie likes to lounge and relax inside after a bit of time spent in her favorite activities of swimming and running in the great outdoors.   Maybe that should be a clue as to what her breed mix is, but it is still really anyone's guess!  The previous owner had adopted her from a rescue group in Missouri so there was no real information regarding her breed(s) - but our educated guess is a Lab/Beagle mix as she is small for a Lab, and she has those cute long floppy Hound ears!

Her age, size and temperment make her a good fit for a lot of homes---no longer a puppy but not old, medium sized and loving --if we were to imagine a 'designed dog' what more would we ask for?
