Safe Haven of Iowa County

 Cupcake and Lucy came to us on the same day.   Cupcake is the fun-loving, ready for anything, confident one.  She was brought to us from Ft. Smith, Arkansas (Hope Humane Society) because they have about 400 adoptable dogs available and are looking for homes for  wonderful dogs by reaching out to other rescues.   Safe Haven along with another group from Western Iowa met the transport to welcome several very adoptable dogs to Iowa as the van advanced to the rescue group in Minnesota where twenty beautiful dogs would find homes.

We are still getting to know the three dogs we committed to, Lucy, Cupcake, and Copper but are enjoying each of them.  What we do know about Cupcake is that she is truly beautiful with a shiny brown/chocolate coat and sleek lines.   She is also ready to play at the drop of a hat, or ball, or any toy you can get your hands on.   The priceless part of her retrieval is the dance-like movements as she brings the toy back to you. 

Wednesday, March 20, will be the surgery day when they are spayed and will be ready for new homes a few days later.    They will be up to date on shots and microchipped, and ready for their new homes in all ways.
