Safe Haven of Iowa County is a non-profit rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, protect, spay/neuter and find good homes for stray animals in Iowa County, Iowa. We strive to offer the best in traditional veterinary care with relationships built with local veternarians and, whenever possible, holistic health care for sick and injured animals in our care.
We can not accept owner relinquishments at this time unless a foster home is open which is rare. We simply have such limited facilities. We do not get any county or city finacial support which limits us to only take on what we must. Stray cats and dogs who are facing euthanasia at Iowa County's pound and local vet offices have to be our priority.
Until we get additional financial support from these government entities we are unable to expand our facilities. We currently house 15 dogs and over 100 cats and keeping up with the vet bills is a struggle.
